Golden Blount Big Tex Vented Gas Log Set for Oversized Fireplaces
Golden Blount is quoted rather than listed. The right configuration depends on the firebox, the fuel, the venting and the control, so we confirm those with you and send the price, the lead time and the freight arrangement in writing.

The log set for the firebox everything else looks small in. Big Tex is built for tall zero clearance metal fireboxes and oversized masonry openings, where a standard set leaves a foot of empty firebox on either side.
- Size: 24 in, 30 in, 36 in
- Log finish: Full bark
- Giant full bark logsNot a standard log scaled up in the photograph. These are genuinely oversized full bark castings, which is the only thing that fills a tall firebox honestly.
- Two stage burnerA raised rear burner with an adjustable front burner. Height in the flame at the back, control at the front, so a big opening burns across its whole width.
- Three quarter inch bar stock grateHeavy bar stock rather than folded steel, because a grate carrying logs this size for twenty years cannot sag in the middle.
Sized for the opening you actually have
Golden Blount builds Big Tex in 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 60 and 72 inch. This page carries 24, 30 and 36. If your firebox is bigger than that, ask on the quote form and we will price the larger set.

How to get a price and lead time
Golden Blount is quoted rather than listed, because the right configuration depends on the firebox, the fuel, the venting and the control. Send the project details on the quote form on this page and you get back the exact assembly, the lead time and the freight arrangement in writing.
Builders and fireplace contractors working on more than one project at a time should open a trade account. It gets you drawings, submittal documents and a single point of contact across jobs.
If this is a repair rather than a new installation, send a photo of the firebox and the valve. That identifies the part faster than any part number search.
