Fox40 Whistle
A whistle is the cheapest thing on the stand and the one that gets used most. Kemp carries Fox 40 and its own Bengal line, both pealess, which is what matters around water.
- Pealess means it works wetA traditional pea whistle jams when it gets wet or cold. A pealess whistle does not have the part that fails.
- It has to cut through noiseA crowded pool on a summer afternoon is genuinely loud. A whistle that cannot be heard over it is not doing the job.
- Color code your staffDifferent colors for guards, supervisors and swim instructors is a two dollar way to make a deck readable.
Buy them by the handful
Whistles get lost, dropped in the water and taken home in a bag. Every facility that buys one at a time runs out mid season.

Common questions
The pea is the part that jams when wet or frozen. Around water, pealess is the only sensible specification.
Fox 40 is the recognized standard and the louder of the two. The Bengal is Kemp own brand and a good value option for stocking a whole staff.
Usually separately, which is better: lanyards wear out faster than whistles. Add the lanyard you want on the same order.
Custom work is available on some models. Ask and we will confirm the minimum.
Most of the Kemp range ships from stock, and delivery choices are shown at checkout. If you need a date confirmed before you order, call 631-678-6506 and we will confirm it with the warehouse first.
