The Flare VDC-100-H is a 100 inch vent free double corner outdoor gas fireplace with a 24 inch high opening, open on the front and both ends. It needs no venting and is CSA certified for outdoor installation. It is rated at 105,000 BTU on natural gas and 92,500 BTU on propane, with Honeywell electronic ignition and multi-colored RGB LEDs under the glass media. It suits a large covered patio, pool house or outdoor room.

Keep the clearances to combustibles in the installation manual and follow local codes, or current CSA installation standards where there are none. Questions people ask us

Natural gas or propane?

Both are available, and Flare needs the gas type specified when the fireplace is ordered. Tell us which supply you have.

What media can I use outdoors?

Glass media only. Flare offers Ice, Black, Raindrop Diamonds and Bronze for its outdoor models and says logs and stones break down with outdoor exposure.

What back panel does it have?

Flare offers its vent free models with a choice of stainless steel or black reflective back. The black reflective back for this model is the VF-RB-DC-100-H.

Is there a safety screen?

Flare offers an optional, removable invisible mesh screen for its vent free fireplaces to keep hands and debris out of the opening. Ask us to add one.

What power does it need?

A 110 V, 15 A GFI protected supply, ideally on a dedicated breaker. A licensed electrician should run it.
