The Flare RC-70 is a 70 inch frameless right corner direct vent gas fireplace with 16 inch high glass on two faces that meet at the corner. There is no metal frame around the glass, so the finished wall runs right up to the fire. It burns natural gas as standard, with propane available, and is rated up to 52,200 BTU/hr. It suits a living room corner or an open plan space where the fire should read from more than one direction.

Frameless means the finish carries itself.Plan the framing and wall finish around the opening with the Flare framing guides before the walls close. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the installation manual and local codes. A licensed electrician should run the dedicated 110 V circuit.

Questions people ask us

What safety barrier comes with it?

The RC-70 ships with Flare's invisible mesh safety screen. The cooler-to-touch DG-RC-70 double glass barrier is the upgrade, and needs an air intake in the surround.

Does it come in propane?

Natural gas is standard and propane is optional. Tell us which gas you have when you order so the fireplace is set up for it.

Can I mount a TV above it?

Flare's Cool Wall Tech allows a television or art piece 12 inches above the fireplace opening. Follow the installation manual for the wall build.

What can I add?

Flare offers double glass, a black reflective ceramic glass back and sides, RGB LEDs, the Summit burner, power venting, the Summer Kit heat control and battery backup for screen units. Ask us about any of them.

What clearances does it need?

Clearances, framing and vent runs are set out in Flare's installation manual and framing guides. Send us the room plan and we will go through them with you.
