Flare Double Glass Safety Barrier for Passage See-Through | PASS-DG-ST
Flare PASS-DG-ST is the double glass safety barrier for the Passage See-Through, PASS ST-30-EH, Flare's vertical fireplace with 60 inch tall glass. It puts a second layer of glass in front of the firebox so the outer pane is safe enough for a brief touch, in Flare's words. Flare lists the Passage See-Through with its Active double glass, cooled by quiet blowers and an air intake in the surround.

Which fireplace does PASS-DG-ST fit?
The Passage See-Through, PASS ST-30-EH, with its 28 5/16" x 60" viewing window. It is not the part for the front facing Passage.
Does it need an air intake?
Yes. Flare requires an air intake on every fireplace with the double glass barrier, placed between the floor and the body of the fireplace and kept open. On see-through units it is doubled and balanced on both long sides. Ask us and we will work out the size with you.
Can I add it to a Passage that has the mesh screen?
Flare does not publish a retrofit procedure, and screen and double glass versions use different trim fillers. Send us the serial number and we will check with Flare.
Is the outer glass cool?
Flare designs it to be safe enough for a brief touch, not cold. Keep children and pets supervised around any running fireplace.
