Questions people ask us

Which flashing fits my roof?

Measure the pitch. Up to 6/12 use F6, 7/12 to 12/12 use F12, and a flat roof uses FF. On metal or tile roofs, the dead soft aluminum versions can be shaped to the roof profile.

Do I need a storm collar?

Yes. The storm collar sits on top of the flashing and keeps water out of the joint. Order the DirectVent Pro storm collar in the same diameter.

How is it sealed to the roof?

Nail the base, lap the roofing over the top edge, and use a non-hardening sealant between the flashing and the roofing, as Duravent's instructions describe.

Not sure this is the right flashing?
