Where is it required?
At the first floor and each floor opening the vent passes, except the roof, per Duravent's CVS instructions.
What size opening do I frame?
7-1/2" x 7-1/2" at each floor level. The roof opening needs no framing.
Is CVS approved for my appliance?
Only if the appliance maker approves it. For direct vent gas use the vent is part of the appliance listing, and Duravent asks you to confirm your appliance is approved for CVS by name. Send us the model and we will check.
