The Duravent DuraBlack 6DBK-XS8 is a slip increaser with trim that joins 6 inch DuraBlack stovepipe to an 8 inch chimney. Duravent makes it to adapt to 8 inch DuraTech, DuraPlus or DuraLiner at the ceiling support box or finishing collar, and it adds 5 to 15 inches of length.

Keep DuraBlack 18 inches from combustibles.Duravent requires at least 18 inches of clearance between DuraBlack single-wall pipe and combustible walls, ceilings and furniture. Stovepipe is a connector, not a chimney: it cannot be enclosed or pass through combustible material, so the chimney takes over at the ceiling support box or wall thimble. The appliance manual decides the venting.

No. DuraBlack is single-wall connector pipe. It runs from the appliance flue outlet to a manufactured chimney, such as Duravent DuraPlus or DuraTech, at the ceiling support box or finishing collar. Duravent says connector pipe cannot be enclosed, cannot pass through combustible material and must not leave the room the appliance is in.
