The Dimplex Optimyst (Opti-myst) Linear is a built-in water vapor fireplace in 46 and 66 inch widths, models OLF46-AM and OLF66-AM. Ultrasonic transducers turn water into a fine mist that LED light turns into a multi-colored 3D flame effect, over acrylic crystals and driftwood. It hard-plumbs to a water line for continuous use, has a fan-forced heater, and works with the Flame Connect app.

Questions people ask us
Does it need a water line?
A plumbed connection with 1/4 inch tubing is the way Dimplex intends it, using the CDFIPLUMB-KIT or standard tubing. Refillable containers, sold separately, give up to 6 hours of flame per refill and are meant for occasional use.
What water should I use?
Normal clean tap water. In hard water areas use a softener and clean more often. Well or unfiltered water is not recommended.
Can it plug in?
On 120 V with the OLFPLUG plug kit, sold separately. Otherwise it is hardwired at 120 V or 240 V.
Hardwired installs, and any 240 V or 208 V connection, should be done by a licensed electrician to the instructions and local codes.
Does it give off heat?
The flames are mist and LED light behind cool-touch glass. A separate fan-forced heater adds warmth, with Eco and Boost modes, or you can run the flames alone.
Will it fit my wall?
It needs a 12 inch deep framed opening 32-1/2 inches tall, plus a fresh air inlet. Send us your plans and we will check them. Ask us here.
