The Dimplex Nova is a 120 V plug-in electric firebox, listed here as the 26 and 28 inch models with logs (XHD26L, XHD28L) and the 33 inch model with an acrylic ember bed (XHD33G, order number 500001757). It slides into a mantel, a custom surround or an existing fireplace opening and plugs into a standard outlet. A 1,465 watt fan-forced heater and the remote come with it.

Plug it straight into the wall.Use a grounded 120 V outlet on a 15 A circuit, never an extension cord or power strip. Leave space under the unit and at least 1/2 inch behind it for air, and do not set it directly on carpet.

Questions people ask us

Can it go in my existing fireplace?

Yes. Dimplex covers mounting it in a Dimplex mantel, a custom mantel or an existing fireplace opening. Seal chimney drafts and vents first, and avoid damp openings.

Does it need an electrician?

No. It is a plug-in unit for a standard 120 V outlet. A dedicated 15 A circuit is preferred.

Can I change the media?

Which size fits my mantel?
