The Dimplex IgniteXL is a built-in linear electric fireplace in 50, 60, 74 and 100 inch widths, models XLF50, XLF60, XLF74 and XLF100. It sits flush in a 2x6 wall, or partly recessed in a 2x4 wall with the XLFTRIM kit, and shows LED flames over an acrylic crystal media bed. The fan-forced heater puts out 1,500 watts on 120 V or 2,500 watts on 240 V, and the flames run with or without heat.

Questions people ask us
Can I plug the IgniteXL in?
Yes, on 120 V. A power cord is included for 120 V installs, giving 1,500 watts of heat. For the full 2,500 watts it must be hardwired at 240 V.
Hardwired installs, and any 240 V or 208 V connection, should be done by a licensed electrician to the instructions and local codes.
What wall does it need?
It fits flush in a 2x6 wall. In a 2x4 wall it sits partly recessed, and Dimplex recommends the XLFTRIM kit, sold separately. Browse Dimplex trims.
Can it go outside?
Yes, in a covered outdoor space. Dimplex requires an overhang no taller than 3 times its projection, measured from the bottom of the unit, and recommends a ground-fault protected circuit.
What media comes in the box?
Medium and large acrylic crystals, in quantities that scale with the width. Dimplex also offers an optional driftwood and river rock kit. See Dimplex glass and media.
