The Dimplex Ignite Ultra is a deep built-in linear electric fireplace with a full log set, in 50, 60, 74, 88 and 100 inch widths, models ULT50 to ULT100. It ships with two flame effects, Dynamic-Fire installed and a Multi-Fire flicker rod in the box, and sets up front-facing, corner, bay or open-sided. A plug kit is included for 120 V, and it delivers 2,500 watts when hardwired at 240 V.

Indoor use only, and plan for a heavy unit.The Ultra ships between 187 and 309 lbs packaged, so it travels by freight. The firebox is not load-bearing. On 120 V it can use the included plug kit; 240 V installs are hardwired and should be done by a licensed electrician.

Questions people ask us

What is the difference between Dynamic-Fire and Multi-Fire?

They are two flame looks on one fireplace. Dynamic-Fire comes installed and the Multi-Fire flicker rod is in the box, so you can swap between them. Dimplex calls this Flex-Flame.

Can I plug it in?

Yes, on 120 V with the included plug kit, for 1,500 watts of heat. For 2,500 watts it must be hardwired at 240 V.

Hardwired installs, and any 240 V or 208 V connection, should be done by a licensed electrician to the instructions and local codes.

Can it be a corner or bay fireplace?

Yes. It installs front-facing, left or right corner, bay or open-sided, using the open-side brackets and trims in the box. Units can also be linked side by side.

Can it go outdoors?

No. The Ultra manual says not to use it outdoors.

Will it fit my wall?

Check the framing opening in the specs, 28 inches tall and 15 inches deep. Send us your wall and we will confirm the width with you. Ask us here.
