The Dimplex Ignite Quest is a built-in electric firebox in 30, 36, 42 and 48 inch widths, models QST30 to QST48. It uses the Multi-Fire flame effect with a glowing loose log set and pulsing ember bed, and installs front-facing, corner or bay. A plug kit is included for 120 V, and it gives 2,500 watts when hardwired at 240 V.

Indoor use only, and a heavy firebox.The Quest weighs 181 to 220 lbs, so it ships by freight and installs with two people into a framed opening. 240 V installs are hardwired and should be done by a licensed electrician.

Questions people ask us

Can I plug in the Quest?

Yes, on 120 V with the included plug kit. For the full 2,500 watts it must be hardwired at 240 V.

Hardwired installs, and any 240 V or 208 V connection, should be done by a licensed electrician to the instructions and local codes.

Can it be a corner or bay fireplace?

Yes. Open-sided corner and bay installs need the 500005394 left/right bay trim kit, sold separately. See Dimplex trims.

What comes in the box?

The firebox, a full log set, tumbled glass embers, gravel and glass chunks, front, side and reflective glass, a kick plate, the remote with wall mount, a plug kit and mounting hardware.

Can it go outdoors?

No. The Quest manual says not to use it outdoors.

Will it fit my opening?

Every size needs a framed opening 37-1/8 inches tall and 18 inches deep. Send us your measurements and we will confirm the size. Ask us here.
