Questions people ask us
Does it need a chimney or vent?
No. The Bramshaw is electric, so there is nothing to vent. The stove pipe is decorative only.
Does it plug in?
Yes. It has a 3-pin plug on a 6 ft cord. The manual calls for its own 15 amp circuit breaker and no extension cord, timer or switched circuit.
Can I run the flames without heat?
Yes. It has a flame only setting, and the heater has full (1500 W) and half (750 W) settings with thermostatic control from the remote.
What comes in the box?
The stove and heater assembly, the user instructions, and the remote with batteries. The stove pipe is sold separately.
Can it sit in an existing fireplace?
The manual allows a fire surround only where British Fires confirms it is compatible, and an open fireplace must have its chimney blocked off. Set it on a firm, level surface and do not recess it into a wall.
