The Astria F4331 is the Charlestown Black herringbone ceramic firebox liner kit, model EBLK40CB-H, for 40 inch Altair-C and AltairDLX-C direct vent gas fireplaces. It lines the firebox with a black brick pattern laid in herringbone, in three panels: left, right and rear. The panels go in after the fireplace is installed, rear panel first. Part number F4331.

Install with the fireplace off and cool.Astria says to turn the appliance off and let it cool completely first. The panels can scratch, so handle them with care, never force them into place, and wear safety glasses and work gloves.

Questions people ask us

Will it fit my Altair?

This kit is for the 40 inch Altair-C and AltairDLX-C series. For a 45 inch unit, Astria makes the same style as F4332 (EBLK45CB-H). The size is in the model number on your rating label.

How is it installed?

With the gas off and the fireplace cool, the facade and screen barrier, glass door and logs come out. The rear panel goes in first, then the right and left side panels. Then the logs, embers, glass and barrier go back in.

What other liner looks are there?

For the Altair-C and AltairDLX-C, Astria also lists Black Tie and Heritage Brown stacked ceramic, Tudor Blend herringbone ceramic and Black Reflective porcelain.
