Install the logs on a finished, tested fireplace.Astria calls for the fireplace to be installed, its gas line connected and leak tested and its burner operation checked before the logs go in, with the fireplace shut down and fully cool. Proper log placement is critical to prevent sooting.

Will it fit my fireplace?

Astria approves the Charred Oak sets for the Scorpio, Scorpio-B, Scorpio CD-C, DRT3500, DRT3500-B and DRC3000-B direct vent gas fireplaces. This is the 35 inch set. Send us the model number from your rating label and we will confirm it.

My fireplace is 40 or 45 inches. Is there a set?

Yes. Astria makes the CHAROAK40-45 (F2877) Charred Oak set for the 40 and 45 inch sizes. Ask us and we will check it for your model.

How many logs are in the set?

Four: a left rear log, a rear log, a top front right log and a top front left log, each with its own position in the instructions.

Are embers included?

The kit holds the log set and its instruction sheet. The placement steps call for glowing embers to be placed before the logs, so ask us if you need them for your fireplace.

Who should install it?

Astria says that if you are not qualified to install the kit, contact a dealer. Any gas work should be done by a licensed gas professional to the instructions and local codes.
