The Astria Atlas is a radiant, smooth-faced vent free firebox in 36 and 42 inch sizes, with herringbone refractory panels and a 28 inch tall, full-width opening. It is the firebox only. You add an ANSI Z21.11.2 listed vent free log set, such as Astria Southern Comfort or Shady Hollow, so there is no chimney or vent pipe to run.

Questions people ask us

Does the Atlas come with logs?

No. The Atlas is the firebox only. It takes any ANSI Z21.11.2 listed vent free log set, and Astria recommends its own sets such as Southern Comfort, Shady Hollow, Rich Oak, Western Timber, Ironwood Ridge and Peakside Timber.

Does it need a chimney?

No. It is a vent free firebox, so there is no chimney or vent pipe. Check your local codes first, since some areas limit vent free appliances.

How big is the opening?

Both sizes have a 28 inch tall, full-width refractory opening. Framing is 42-1/4 inches wide on the 36 inch model and 48-1/4 inches wide on the 42 inch model.

Is a hood required?

Astria lists the heat deflection hood as optional for the Atlas.
