600 degrees. No flame.
American made electric grills that reach a hard 600 on a 220 volt circuit with nothing burning, which is how they end up on balconies, rooftops and boats where a gas grill is not allowed.
336 square inches on a 20 amp circuit, the smallest run of the three and the easiest for an electrician to add. Freestanding on four casters with fold-down side shelves.
448 square inches, and the one series you can buy with a single control or with two independent zones. This is the dual: sear on one side and hold on the other.
1,056 square inches across two independent zones. This is the built-in body, sized to drop into a long counter run in a clubhouse, a rooftop kitchen or a galley.

Start with how much deck you need
Three series. What separates them is the cooking surface and the size of the circuit it runs on. Everything else, the 600 degree ceiling, the stainless, the timer and the automatic shut-off, is common to all of them.

Genuine factory grills
Every model here ships from Electri-Chef with the UL Mark on it and the full manufacturer warranty behind it.
We read the rule with you
Send us what your board, your HOA or your marina actually says about open flame. We will tell you straight whether this clears it.
We spec the circuit
Tell us the model and we will write down exactly what to hand your electrician, before you spend anything on the run.
Out the door in 1 to 2 days
In stock orders are processed and shipped within 1 to 2 business days, and a real person answers the phone.
Six ways to mount the same grill
Every series is offered in these. The cooking deck does not change between them, only what holds it up and where it sits.
Closed base
Freestanding on four casters, two of them locking, with fold-down side shelves and a storage cabinet built in under the cooking surface.
See these PBPedestal base
Freestanding on a pedestal, four casters, two locking, with fold-down side shelves. No cabinet underneath.
See these IBuilt-in
The grill body on its own, sized to drop into an outdoor kitchen island or a counter run.
See these IMMarine
The built-in body with Hardie soffit insulation on the sides and the back, built to set into a deck or a galley.
See these TTTabletop
Sits on the table or the counter you already own. Nothing to build and nothing to cut into.
See these JA/CTCounter top
The same cooking deck as the built-in body, finished for a counter top installation.
See theseThree things worth knowing first
The circuit is the real project
Every Electri-Chef runs on its own 208/220 volt circuit, sized to the series: 20 amp for Emerald, 30 amp for Ruby, 40 amp for Diamond. Emerald lands on a NEMA 6-20R and Ruby on a NEMA 6-30R. The Diamond takes a 50 amp rated receptacle on its 40 amp breaker.
Price that run with an electrician before you buy the grill. Tell us the model you are looking at and we will write down the exact device to ask for.
Where it is allowed, and why
The rules that keep grills off balconies and out of marinas are written about open flame and combustion. There is neither one here, which is the whole reason this brand exists.
Boards and dock masters still want it in writing. Send us the wording they use and we will read it with you before you order.
What turns up on the truck
It arrives fully assembled, with the stainless grids and the drip trays already in place. Anything past parcel size moves by freight carrier, arrives with lift gate service and is left curbside.
The driver is not responsible for moving it onto the deck or around the house, so line up help and a clear path for the day it lands.
About Electri-Chef
Flameless electric grills, made in America
Electri-Chef builds outdoor grills that reach 600 degrees without a flame, a gas line or a bag of charcoal. Because nothing combusts, they clear the no open flame rules that keep grills off condo balconies, apartment decks, rooftops and marina slips.
Which size do I need?
Three series, separated by cooking surface. Emerald is 24 inches and 336 square inches on a 20 amp circuit. Ruby is 32 inches and 448 square inches on 30 amp. Diamond is 48 inches and 1,056 square inches on 40 amp, with two independent zones as standard.
What is the difference between single and dual control?
A single control holds the whole cooking deck at one temperature. Dual control splits the deck into two zones that hold their own settings, so you can sear on one side and hold on the other. Ruby is offered either way. Diamond is dual only.
Which mounting style should I pick?
Closed base and pedestal base are freestanding on casters, with the closed base adding a storage cabinet underneath. Built-in and counter top drop into an island or counter run. Marine is the built-in body with Hardie soffit insulation on the sides and back for a deck or galley. Tabletop sits on a surface you already own.
What does it need electrically?
A dedicated 208/220 volt circuit, sized to the series: 20 amp for Emerald, 30 amp for Ruby, 40 amp for Diamond. It is worth pricing that run with an electrician before the grill arrives. Tell us the model you are looking at and we will spell out exactly what to ask for.
