Why teak garden furniture stays outside

Anderson Teak builds in plantation grown teak that is kiln dried before it is cut, then joined with mortise and tenon rather than screwed together. The oil already in the wood is what keeps it outdoors.

  • Kiln dried grade A teak, sanded smooth, most of it left unfinished
  • Mortise and tenon joinery with stainless steel hardware
  • Left untreated it silvers to a soft gray patina, which is a finish choice rather than a fault
  • Soap and water is the whole maintenance routine

Alongside the teak, Anderson Teak builds the same shapes in powder coated aluminum, all weather wicker and cast limestone, for patios where wood is not the look you are after.

Anderson Teak also makes a small indoor only range in mahogany. Those pieces are marked indoor use only by the manufacturer and they are not listed here. Everything on this page is built to live outside.

Curbside delivery

Sets and tables move by freight and the truck stops at the curb, so line up a hand for delivery day.

Looking after it

Scrub down with soap and water. Leave it to silver, or seal it if you want to hold the honey color.

Anderson Teak builds outdoor furniture in plantation grown teak, kiln dried and cut in Indonesia. The range runs from single teak dining chairs and garden benches through to thirteen piece extension table sets and modular deep seating groups that furnish a whole patio. Frames are joined with mortise and tenon and fitted with stainless steel hardware, and most of the range is left unfinished so it weathers to the silver gray patina teak is known for. If you would rather keep the honey color, a sealer holds it.
