Hayward TigerShark Robotic Pool Cleaner
The TigerShark is Hayward's mid-range full-coverage cleaner — floor, walls, coves, and waterline in a single 3-hour cycle, sized for in-ground pools up to 20 x 40 ft. It's the original AquaVac robotic design, priced below the SharkVac XL despite offering the same full coverage.
Quick Stats
- 55 ft floating cable
- 3-hour complete cleaning cycle
- Cleans floor, walls, coves, and waterline — full coverage
- On-board pump, runs independently of pool pump/filter
- Bottom-access debris bin (tips to empty, unlike the top-loading SharkVac line)
- Rated for in-ground pools up to 20 x 40 ft
- ~21 lbs, works on gunite, vinyl, fiberglass, pebble, and tile
Why the TigerShark Over the SharkVac XL?
The TigerShark gives you the same full floor/wall/waterline coverage as the SharkVac XL for $170 less. The tradeoff: its debris bin is accessed from underneath rather than top-loading, so you'll tip the unit to empty it rather than popping the lid. If top-load convenience matters more to you than the price gap, the SharkVac XL is worth the difference. If you want the Quick Clean 90-minute option, see the TigerShark QC.
