3 Things Worth Knowing First

Size It By Gallons

Each manifold is rated by pool volume, from the PPM1 at 30,000 gallons to the PPM5 at 70,000. The cell that goes in it carries the same number, so a PPM3 takes a PPC3.

Send us your gallons and we will confirm the size.

Keep The Salt At 3,500 ppm

That is where AutoPilot rates every cell. Below 2,300 ppm the system stops making chlorine and asks for salt. Salt does not evaporate, so you mostly add it after backwashing, heavy rain or splash out.

Pair PoolSync and the app tells you how much to add.

Plan The Plumbing And Power

The manifold goes in the dedicated pool return after the filter and heater, with 20 to 100 gpm through it and a bypass above 100. A licensed electrician should make the electrical connection.

    Which system do I need?

    Go by gallons. The Evolve comes in four sizes, from the PPM1 for pools up to 30,000 gallons to the PPM5 for pools up to 70,000, with a digital display and a tri-sensor that reads flow, salt and water temperature. Send us your gallons and we will size it with you.

    My power center quit. Do I need a whole new system?

    Usually not. The Evolve power center, PCR0003A, is a direct replacement for an existing AutoPilot power center and works with the manifold and cell already on your pad. Send us the model on your current unit and we will confirm it.

    Which replacement cell fits mine?

    The cell matches the manifold: a PPM3 takes a PPC3, a PPM5 takes a PPC5. Each cell comes bare or bundled with the cord for your power center. Not sure which you have? Send us a photo and we will tell you.

    How much salt does the pool need?
